Bontle And Priddy Ugly Celebrate One Year Of Marriage
Just a year ago, celebrity couple Bontle Modiselle tied the knot with her rapper man Priddy Ugly.
Before getting married the couple had been together for a decade. Last year on September 28 they got married in a traditional ceremony in Kempton Park.
At the time Bontle was expecting their first child, Afrika Bonita Lerato Moloi who was born just a few months later.
Ahead of tying the knot the couple revealed to Drum Magazine, that their families met the previous year when he paid lobola for his leading lady.
“I proposed in 2015 and in February last year our families met and I paid for lobola for her,” he told the publication.
Bontle shared on Instagram pictures from her big day and wrote a heartfelt caption dedicated to her husband.
“Ntate Moloi, you’re a very special man to me. A Purposeful life-long friendship and union. You fill my cup. You make me happy. Thank you for the life we continue to share together. Ke ho rata ka pelo le moya. A year in marriage down, a lifetime to go! I love you @priddy_ugly ❤️✨ Happy Anniversary!”
Priddy Ugly also made sure to commemorate the day he married the love of his life on social media with a special post.
The rapper shared a picture from their wedding day, which showed how happy they were on the big day.
“This picture genuinely represents what the last 11 years have felt like, complete bliss..” he wrote.
Priddy Ugly then went on to share how “honored” he is to be the man Bontle chose to travel life’s journey.
“MaAfrika Moloi, I am honored to be the man that you chose to travel along this life’s journey with. Witnessing your growth, from when we were teens, to students in tertiary, to being independents, to marriage & parenthood, I couldn’t be more proud of the people we’ve become. Our 1st year of marriage flew by so fast, I’m hoping the next 70 are a lot more prolonged, I’m enjoying the ride,” he wrote.
Since tying the knot, the couple has started a Youtube page where they get honest with their followers about their relationship.
In one of their videos, Bontle spilt the tea about being the one to ask Priddy out. Bontle and Priddy speak about how they chatted a lot over Mxit and she ended up asking him out in 2009 after being dumped on her birthday
