Musician Busiswa Gqulu has had her fair share of bullying ever since she introduced her new banging body. Social media can be a vile place especially for prominent people but Busiswa always has the clap backs on lock.
The superstar whose confidence is at a high never lets people rain on her parade. Even with her old body, she was never afraid to flaunt her curves and show off a little bit of skin. Whilst many are giving the performer a standing ovation, many have directed many of their nasty comments at her.
Even opinions such as, “I prefer the older body” don’t sit well with Busiswa and she will tell you where to get off. Her latest sizzling bikini pictures had the internet in a frenzy. The muso shared snaps of her flaunting her new thinner body, wearing a multi-coloured bikini and a mustard top.
She sent many of her male followers tongues wagging as they asked for her number, whilst others body shamed her. “Don’t stress yourself about my body, young man. No matter how tempted you are, don’t do that” she wrote at the time.
The first clap back was delivered to a troll who criticised her make-up, adding that Busiswa should rather wear sunscreen. “The make-up is really bad. Since you going to swim, wear your sunscreen ke maan,” t-he tweet read. “Thank you preenseepal. I wore my sunscreen and my face beat and I swam. How was your day?” she clapped back.
She also had to tell many of the trolls to “rest” because of their unnecessary snide comments.
The Black Is King featured artist is also enjoying her new found fame in various African countries. Her feature with rapper Cassper scored her a new fan base in Malawi. She then thanked Cassper for putting her on, “Nokthulaaa is SO BIG IN MALAWI!! In fact @casspernyovest has fans here who didn’t even know me before that song. Wandifaka ke ezintweni (Thanks for putting me on.)”
It seems as though her new formed friendship with Cass has people disliking her music. She even lost a fan as they believed her music is not as good as it was before. Hectic!
The mother of one also recently rocked the headlines after releasing a lengthy social media video opening up about the physical, emotional and mental abuse she received form two previous relationships, expressing how the shame was the only reason she kept her suffering a secret.
The liberated singer is now all about putting herself first and has advised all women who are faced with the same situation of abuse, to seek the strength with and leave as it is nobody’s responsibility to protect an abuser.
