Cassper: I Dropped an Amazing Album

Multi-award winning musician, Cassper Nyovest, is still reeling from the success of his fifth studio album, Any Minute Now, which dropped on Friday, 11 September 2020. Less than a month after its release, the rapper has achieved many accolades, solidifying the fact that he is one of the top rap artists in the country.

In case you managed to forget the genius that is Any Minute Now, our boy Cassper has no problem reminding you. In a tweet today, 7 October 2020, the rapper stated, “People don’t really listen to albums anymore so the fact that a rap album with nothing but rap music on it has been number 1 for 4 weeks straight in the amapiano climate is lit. You can’t downplay that. I dropped a fucking amazing album and the people are loving it. Go fella FAO!”.

His fans rallied behind him with his self-promotion, and made sure to let the rap God know that the album will remain on top for weeks to come. Melusi Moloi commented with, “That’s true bro. When you posted videos saying this is your best project yet they didn’t want to believe it but you really showed the world that you were born for this.” Of course haters took it as an opportunity to discredit him, although Cassper chose to ignore those who attempted to steal focus from his success.

Any Minute Now boasts astounding features with the likes of U.S R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton, Kwaito legend Zola, Samthing Soweto, Langa Mavuso, Tellaman, Youngsta CPT, Busiswa, Nadia Nakai and his homeboys from Mahikeng; Khuli Chana, Tuks, Momolemi, Towdee Mac, DJ Lemonka and the late HHP.

On Wednesday, 30 September 2020 Cassper received recognition for his latest body of work, tweeting, “BOOM!!! #Amademoni certified gold & Good for that just went Platinum!!! #AnyMinuteNow is currently the bestselling album in the country across all genres. Thank you so much to all the fans!!! I appreciate it a lot!!! Keep streaming!!!”.

Mufasa’s fans have praised the rapper for his stellar work on the album from the production to the songs. Cassper’s shares his growing pains over classic hip-hop beats mixed with a flair of traditional jazz, kwaito, and even gospel on the album.
