Cassper Is Done With Petty Arguments
South African superstar, Cassper Nyovst, has gotten himself into a fair amount of disagreements on social media, with his fans and industry peers. Not one to keep quiet about voice his opinions, Cassper revealed that sometimes when he discovers exactly who he is feuding with, he realises its not worth it.
The conversation began early on Thursday, 12 November 2020 when Cass gave himself credit for being able to have longevity in the South African music industry. He stated, “What i love most about experimenting as an artist is going back and listening to my old stuff. I am so impressed by my versatility. I keep changing & adapting, that’s the secret to my longevity. I remember coming up being told SA musicians only have 3 years. We still here! GOAT!”.
Whist Cass has always been his own hype man, trolls couldn’t miss the opportunity to let him know that they disagreed and that his statement had no justification. Many claimed that Cassper was his own biggest fan and that he is always the first to praise himself without taking the options of others into consideration.
The hate comments clearly began to affect him, as the Any Minute Now creator was about to pounce. Realising that the profile was most likely fake, he decided not to give it any further attention and keep it moving. He stated, “You’ll be arguing with sum 1 on Twitter & get annoyed by their stupid responses so you go to their profile pic tryna see who this person is & find this… Hai fok guys, I’m not doing this anymore!! Ya’ll can win all the arguments!! Ha ke tlo go debate’a le di kausi! SOX? NO WAYS!”.
In a war of the words back in October 2020, Cassper warned DJ Speedsta to back off, the minute he started to shade him. Cassper Nyovest might have taken some offense to Speedsta’s tweet where he commended Costa Titch for releasing the best album SA Hip Hop has heard this year. Cassper had initially deleted the tweet where he said “This is pure comedy! There’s opinions, there’s preferences and then there is (talking c**p). Pick a struggle.” Speedsta saw the tweet and thought it was directed towards him however, Cass quickly put him at ease. He said he was talking about Nota Baloyi who blatantly disrespected Cassper’s album by dissecting it song by song.
