Cassper Nyovest Weighs In On The Masters Debate

Following Kanye West most recent Twitter rant about obtaining his masters from Universal Music and how he wants other artists to own their masters, Cassper Nyovest has added his opinion.

Kanye in his lengthy rant went on about being stuck in his recording contract with the record label and how he is trying to get his masters back.

The topic of master recordings will forever be a hot one and one that tends to come back to tends to come to stir up drama on the Twitter streets.

Even here in Mzansi, artists are vocal about owning their masters and have been vocal about their opinions about being signing contracts that will not trap them.

DJ Maphorisa, earlier this year called out Prince Kaybee, Lady Zamar and Mafikizolo for allegedly not owning the masters to their music.

Music masters are the rights to owning your own music and are quite a big deal in the music industry.

DJ Maphorisa did not hold back when it comes dragging Prince Kaybee for not owning his masters.

Cassper retweeted Kanye’s tweet, where he exposed Universal for allegedly not telling him what his master’s cost because they know he can afford to buy them.

When it comes to the master’s talk Mufasa has been preaching to the choir, for the past six years to be precise.

Of course, some tweeps couldn’t help but drag Mufasa, but the rapper maintained his position and let know that he will keep on writing history whilst people continue to undermine his valuable advice.

Responding to a tweep, Cassper said, “WRONG! Kanye is saying this cause he doesn’t own his masters&they won’t let him buy them back. Your problem is that yall hate the guy yall should be leaning from. The info is only valuable when it comes from certain people, not Cassper Nyovest. OH WELL! I’ll keep writing history.”
