Dinner At Somizi’s saw the media personality being joined by the biggest celebs in town, who were able to enjoy spicy conversations with Somizi, as well as his above-par culinary skills. Whilst the show was a hit on 1 Magic, season two of Dinner At Somizi’s will be delayed because Hastings Moeng is not backing down without a fight. Somizi Mhlongo, the face of the cooking show, faced theft accusations by Hastings Moeng who claimed that the concept of Dinner Kwa Somizi’s was his brainchild and that Somizi had stolen it.

Although the series was a hit, Netflix recently announced that season two is canceled. The director of the series says they had written a great storyline but it was difficult to bring it to life. “We wrote a beautiful story that spanned the continent but unfortunately could not be executed in these current trying times,” said Kagiso Lediga, Director (Diprente).

The first episode of her show first aired on Channel O and the rapper couldn’t be more proud of her success. According to Nadia, the Naked Room was a product of the coronavirus pandemic, which caused her to continuously change the whole set of her show. Although she admitted that the pandemic definitely inspired her to push the boundaries even further.

Those who are familiar with AKATV would have previously seen the first few episodes, however now, The Braai Show With AKA is a 13-part series on SABC 1. The first four episodes featured prominent members of society such as the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula; famed TV presenter and fashionista, Siya “Scoop” Ngwekazi; Afrotainment owner and creator of the “Fact Durban Rocks” movement, DJ Tira; as well as South African Hip Hop Award winner Moozlie.
