“They can expect a lot of good music, nothing too intense just some really dope music. I tried to really test my creative muscles and I hope they will appreciate and love it,” he adds.
The album features some dope collabos with T.I., Ari Lennox, Rowlene, Tellaman and a few others. Speaking on choosing his collaborations he says:
“It just happened naturally I guess because with regards to me and Tellaman whenever I feel like I have a song I call him and we get to the studio and make it. With the international guys it was a matter of them hearing about me, or the people that know me that side when they are in the studios they make the connections and all I do is just to find a song that is perfect send it and make it out.”
Asked how different this album is from his past albums he says:
“It’s different because as a person I have grown and as an artist so solidly it’s growth I think also my style of writing changes every time so that its hits different and does not feel like I’m saying the same stuff over and over.”
Nasty C says he decided to have more vernacular verses on his album because people used to slam him for rapping only in English and he wanted to showcase how versatile he is.
“As a township boy from Illovu, I felt it was befitting for me to rap in vernac especially because this track is about my struggles and how my hood has inspired me to achieve the greatest,” he says.

The rapper has describes this album as a treat for his fans “It’s definitely a treat I don’t like describing it. I want fans to listen to it and like it for what it is.” Nasty C says he started working on the album 2-3 years ago and didn’t have any challenges besides the mixing and mastering of the album.
“There is no song that I didn’t put a 100% on it,” he adds. He says his favourite tracks on the album are La Vida Loca, Ababulali and Steve Biko because of the meaning they have.
The rapper recently signed to American record label Def Jam, and this is set to catapult his career to even greater heights. Responding on what he hopes to achieve, he says: “I just hope they help me bring the ideas that I have to life.”
Rapper A Reece recently released a trailer of his highly anticipated album Paradise 2. This comes a month after Cassper Nyovest also revealed that Any Minute Now will be released on September 11, labelling it his best work thus far.
Nasty C said he is not competing with them and this does not affect him at all “I’m not competing with these guys, we are not playing the same game I’m dropping an album to update my fans on what’s going on In my life, but has nothing to do with anyone else”
Tweeps reacted to his album.
