Katlego Maboe Returns To Social Media
Disgraced television presenter and musician Katlego Maboe has made an unexpected comeback on social media. Last night, he posted for the first time after being away for almost a year following his controversial cheating scandal.
Maboe spoke about gratitude, admitting that it is a difficult time to bring it up seeing that people are in so much pain at the moment (both physically and emotionally). He added that despite everything that is happening around us, the fact that one still has breath in their lungs is still a gift and something that we must not take for granted.
“It’s difficult at such a time to be thinking of a word such as gratitude. The past year has taken so much away from all of us and for some of us, it has taken everything. Be that as it may, I still firmly believe that there is so much to be grateful for especially while facing daunting prospects. The very breath in our lungs is a signal that echoes the need for gratitude amidst the raging storm – not so much as to brush off as insignificant the challenges we have gone through and still face daily, but as a firm stance to affirm that we will not be defeated.” He said.
According to the former Afternoon Express presenter, we must not be defeated and hope for a better future. He also shared a Bible scripture.
“We are more than our current circumstances and our continued existence and possible future depends on that belief – that tomorrow holds the promise of improvement and betterment of the self and circumstances. I have found solace in the word that says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.”
In closing, Katlego prayed for comfort and peace to those who feel disheartened right now. “Wherever you are and whatever you’re going through – I pray this brings you comfort, peace, joy and strength to take one more step each time you feel disheartened, as it has done for me. All love.”
Katlego’s life came down crashing in October 2020 after a video of his wife Monique Muller exposing his cheating ways went viral. She accused him of giving her an STI as well as being abusive. This affected several bags as brands were left with no choice but to part ways with him. He lost out on OUTsurance as well as Expresso.
