The Senzo Meyiwa saga has been a six year ongoing contentious matter that has been one of the thorns on Kelly’s career and public profile. From the onset Senzo Meyiwa’s death has been a thing of mystery with a house that had Kelly, her sister, Zandie Khumalo, Zandie’s boyfriend at the time, Longwe Twala, and other friends and Kelly’s mother. Ironically, none of the present parties could share what actually happened which caused many to suggest that it was an inside job.
Throughout the years Kelly has add to address the matter of her “involvement” in the passing of a man that the star has emphasized that she lived. The last time the singer had to deal with the unresolved matter of the murder of Senzo Meyiwa was following her viral video was she was in tears. Kelly set in the bathroom in tears speaking about her conversations with God. Many believed that she was about to finally tell the “truth” about the passing.
I think she is depressed, the lack of sleep and crying. I'm talking from experience. Please let's be kind to #Kellykhumalo. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. pic.twitter.com/6zUfzy87sX

However, Kelly maintained that she was not about to implicate herself as she had shared her experience of that night. In the past Kelly has alleged that she actively pursued justice for the man she loved, and suggested that it was the law enforcement’s negligence that has caused the matter to drag. Therefore it is no surprise that was contacted by City Press that ran with the story, it is reported that Kelly had stated that, “Thank you for informing. Good luck with your story.”
On social media, Kelly has maintained a business-as-usual stance. Her posts have emphasized why she is the “Voice of Africa.” And instead of feeding into negative comments and hate from trolls, Kelly has opted to focus on positive affirmation from actual fans and supporters.
Additionally, there has been no official word if the singer will face legal action against her because of the allegations. And that fact that she is still reachable lends to angle that she is merely an easy target and click bait for a matter that should be handled with better care considering how contentious the matter is
