Kgomotso Christopher On What To Expect From Dineo Price On #Legacy

M-Net’s first telenovela Legacy debuts on Monday, September 21 and ahead of the premiere actress Kgomotso Christopher has shared a bit more about her character.

The award-winning actress has been cast in the telenovela to portray Dineo Price, the second wife of Sebastian Price who has built an upmarket investment empire and is getting ready to retire and a family member must take his position, but who will it be?

Ahead of the telenovela’s debut, Kgomotso responded to fans questions about her new role as to what they can expect.

Dineo’s character is one that will go out of her way to protect her family and the company are always protected.

Describing her character in four words, Kgomotso says Dineo is loyal, opulent, maternal and calm.

Her character is very different from her previous role on Scandal!, she describes her as being the opposite “cool, calm, collected”.

The best part about Kgomotso’s new character is “her wardrobe”, the actress also shared that this is “the wealthiest character” she has had to portray.

“That’s been challenging because as a person, I don’t relate to the wealth and ease of life. But as an actor I’ve had to find ways to that kind of life and LSM,” she explained.

Legacy is the brainchild of Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon from Tshedza Pictures, who brought Mzansi the award-winning The River.

Before sharing that she had joined the cast of Legacy, Kgomotso kept dropping hints on social media about being back on set before letting the cat out of the bag.

Her fans are eagerly awaiting Kgomotso being back on their screens as some have missed her dearly following her exit from e.tv’s Scandal!

After four years on being on the popular e.tv soapie, Kgomotso bid farewell to her dearly loved character Yvonne “YV” Langa.

Her departure was confirmed in a statement by the actress and the show.

“As my last day in YV’s shoes approaches, I can’t help but reminisce about the thrill ride it’s been to navigate this gem of a character, gifted to me by the dedicated and talented Scandal! writers. Scandal! will always hold a special place in my heart because through the efforts, talents, and love of the cast and crew, I grew so much as an artist and experienced so many career milestones, including my SAFTA Best Actress win and recent Best Supporting Actress nomination,” she said in a statement.

Loyal Scandal! viewers couldn’t help but be heartbroken over her departure and they all wanted to know where she would be headed to next and at first, she wasn’t sure, well that is until the role of Dineo Price found her.
