Kwesta And Yolanda Host A “Drive-by” Baby Shower
Kwesta and his wife, Yolanda Vilakazi revealed that they were expecting their second child together earlier in the month of August. At the time of the reveal Yolanda was three months away from having the child.
Following the pregnancy reveal Yolanda has used her social media pages to share in the joy of being a second-time expecting mother. Through various posts, especially on Instagram we have seen how the beauty is handling being pregnant with style and class. One of her latest posts showcased how she killed her maternity look while attending Moozlie’s 28th birthday celebration which was hosted by close friend, DJ Zinhle in her expansive backyard.
Another continuous figure that has played a prominent role in Yolanda’s pregnancy is singer and best friend, Thabsie. The singer has been present in most of Yolanda’s posts. It is clear who the leading contender for “celebrity” god mother I, if she is not just made the god mother to the little one set to arrive sometime in November.
But this past Saturday, the Vilakazis hosted a baby shower with a difference. Yolanda and Kwedta revealed that they hosted “drive-by” baby shower. The aim of the drive-by baby shower was to have their friends, family and loved one come over and see the expecting mom, drop of their present and possibly stay a bit longer to enjoy the refreshments. But ultimately, it was designed to abide by the COVID-19 regulations and restrictions.
Some of the A-listers that drove by to the baby shower included Tshepi Vundla, who recently celebrated her three-year old son, Siba’s birthday. Moozlie, who also just recently celebrated her 28th birthday. Actress and television host, Lerato Mvelase, also attended the festivities. And of course, Thabsie showed up and showed out with a SMEG kettle, specifically gifted for the baby’s bottles only. Out of all the gifts which included the customary presents of clothes, breast pumps, and kiddies related gifts; the SMEG kettle is the most Rich Aunt flex so far.
Another aspect of the baby shower was the slight indicator of the baby’s name. Through the branding used for the celebrations, it seems like the little one like her big sister, Khai, is set to have a name that starts with K. Moreover, her nickname is already sorted as the baby is already nicknamed, Baby K. Now we just wait for the parents to reveal the actual name.
