“Lockdown House Party” Makes Triumphant Return
One thing we have come to love about the return to stricter lockdown regulations due to the second wave of the pandemic is that it marks the return of the breakout television show of 2020; The ‘Lockdown House Party.” The show marked its third season return this past Friday, and again proved why she is the girl that she thinks she is.

Firstly, it seems that co-executive producer; Shimza has managed to find the perfect mix between commercial and uplifting. During his recent in-depth interview with popular podcaster and YouTuber, macGayver on “Podcast and Chill with MacG,” Shimza categorically stated that one thing he is unapologetic about doing on the show is giving up and coming DJs a chance for nationwide recognition. More especially, on the fact that he shines a light on DJs from his hometown of Tembisa.
This is @CharmeleonChina for those who didn’t know about him! An uncut deep house diamond! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 #LockdownHouseParty

But one person that shook the tables in the return debut episode is one half of the popular amapiano duo, the Jazzidisciple’s Mr JazziQ. The acclaimed producer-DJ who is behind the hit single, “Askies,” featuring Moonchild Sanelly and Josiah De Disciple was the MVP of the show if comments are anything to go by. Moreover, it seems deserved. JazziQ played his entire set with no headphones on- just him, his ear, and knowledge of every song that he played during the set. The feat was so special that even the EFF’s Julius Malema had to give kudos to JazziQ.
MOER!!! @MrJazziQ is the ultimate vibe!! Ninja pretty much subtly “enacted” the lyrics to every damn song!! I STAN!!! And VELE you don’t really need headphones if you know your tunes!! #LockdownHouseParty pic.twitter.com/z6SZv3G0ig

Then there was Sjava. It seems if this year had a theme for the musician, it would be a “redemptive come back.” Following his case that was brought to the court by Lady Zamar being thrown out, and Sjava’s innocence being vindicated- at least in the eyes of the law. Sjava is slowly making his way back to public perception dominance, and his performance on the “Lockdown House Party” stage affirmed this. Sjava provided a set that uplifted and encourage, which worked to prove that as much as he might be a man- problematic- he does make music that heals or encourages.
@Sjava_atm Appreciation Post. Great performance this is 🙌 @Shimza01 @iam_ph#LockdownHouseParty pic.twitter.com/5NFddRZFr5

It has been less than two weeks into the New Year, but Sjava has already started paving the year of wins. The musician returned to his acting roots again this year as part of the cast of the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela, “eHostela.” His latest return was not marred with scandal as his last when he made a cameo appearance on SABC 1’s most-watched television, “Uzalo.”
