Nay Maps And TK Dlamini Re-unite
When former cast members Nay Maps and TK Dlamini re-united, TK posted the exciting moment on social media and gave fans some nostalgia.
Referring to him as his long lost brother, TK took it back to their Uzalo acting days by hash tagging Mastermind, a character played by him. The two bumped into each other in Sandton.
“Bumped into my long lost brother @naymaps today… It was great seeing you bro” Tk wrote.
Nay also reminisced on their Uzalo acting days by captioning his post, “Imagine @uzalo_sabc1’s Deadly Duo Re-uniting and Returning to your Screens.
Was great catching up and bumping into my partner-in-crime @tk_dlaminii last night.”
On SABC 1’s Uzalo, the two were inseparable and thick as thieves, literally. When they departed many fans were left heartbroken and stated that they would not continue watching the show. Ironically the telenovela still remains the most watched on television.
Mastermind and Mxolisi was arrested on the show, which is a seed of hope for many viewers that they might return. They are said to be serving time in prison but speculated to have escaped.
Nay had reminisced on his acting days when he paid homage to the first television series that put him on.
“Don’t Forget Where You Come From….. And Remember WHO YOU ARE!” He then went on to thank not only the production members but the cast as well for pushing him even though he was a newcomer in the industry.
“To the TV Show that put me on……that believed in me….. And trusted me with a LEAD ROLE to portray the character of a young good kid named Mxolisi from Kwa-Mashu KZN who grew up in Jhb and returns to his family and discovers the truth about his past – @uzalo_sabc1.
“I’ll forever be grateful for the chance and opportunity you gave to a kid you never knew, a passionate, ambitious and dedicated youngster and newcomer in the industry,” he wrote.
His current role continues to make him a household name as he has joined Mzansi Magic’s The Queen as ‘Dingane Khoza.’
Nay has been involved in other productions mostly in Mzansi Magic namely Impilo – The Scam, which is a 13-part series where he plays the character of Pacino. As well as a ‘small role’ on Isibaya playing the character of Tshepo.
Nay Maps still has a lot up his sleeves and has plans of shooting a lot of block buster movies.
TK is a seasoned artist who had major roles before Uzalo which include Soul City, and appearing as a cameo in Rhythm City and Single Ladies. He was also a presenter at the 2012 Durban Hip/Hop awards.
