Norma Gigaba on Saturday night was released from Brooklyn police station in Pretoria after spending one night behind bars.
The wife of former Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba on Monday will appear in court, her attorney Victor Nkwashu confirmed.
“We can confirm that bail has been fixed for her at R5,000 and that she will appear in court on Monday,” he told SowetanLIVE.
Norma was allegedly arrested on charges of assault and damage to property. She allegedly damaging a G-Wagon, G63 AMG that her husband was using and had borrowed it from a friend.
Her arrest has become a trending topic across social media with many weighing on the matter and the couple’s marital woes.
