We Take On The Duduzane Challenge
One thing about our favourite ZAlebs is that when there is something that is a vibe, they are never shy to jump on and show us their takes on a trend. Recently, son of troubled former President Jacob Zuma, Duduzane Zuma shook the tables when he showed South African man- and woman- how to walk like you mean it.
The Duduzane Challenge was born off of two viral videos of the aspiring politician walking- literally just walking. At first, like everything serious, and not so serious, received a challenge on social media. And soon after some of our faves showed us how they have interpreted the challenge. Below are some of our favourite ZAlebs giving people what they want.
1. Cassper Nyovest:
If a man is not afraid to receive backlash for what was initially labelled as the entertainer appropriating UK Drill, then what is a little homage to Duduzane Zuma. Cassper, who recently travelled to Malawi for a performance, used the matter of having assigned security to his advantage
The “Good for That” hit maker took on the challenge in the most Cassper Nyovest way possible; with all the humour in the world. The video starts off with his producer Alie Keyz feeling all fresh as he is the Duduzane of the video. But like all dreams, reality sets in when the real “Duduzane” takes the stage and shows us how it is done.
2. Pearl Thusi:
She might have a Netflix deal that sunk, Twitter might have her best interests at heart, but one thing about Pearl Thusi is that she has land. Mama Pantha in taking on the challenge proved that you do not need to have bodyguards or a walk- a matter she has put to rest with her own viral “Queen Sono” walk.
Pearl proved that al you need for the #DuduzaneChallenge is confidence. Dressed in camouflage, the star showed off her snap-back body, her expansive backyard, and her Era Vision by DJ Zinhle shades all in one go. The Black Rose co-owner made it clear that one thing about her, she is moneyed.
3. Babes Wodumo:
The Queen of Gqom took on the Duduzane Challenge in the most Babes Wodumo way. As a media personality, Babes Wodumo is a polarizing figure. However, as a musician, the star loves her fans. Therefore, when she took on the Duduzane Challenge, Babes paid homage not only her fans but the streets and fans that consume her music.
Since her “come back” the star has been really conscious about how she handles her fame. And to date besides pregnancy rumours, which have since been laid to rest. The baby girl has simply been checking her cheques and focusing on her upcoming wedding.
