Renowned traditional healer and reality TV star Gogo Skhotheni, along with her estranged husband Monde Shange, are mourning the tragic loss of their three-year-old son, Monde Jr. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Gogo Skhotheni in a statement to ZiMoja, where she revealed the emotional toll this loss has taken on her and her family.

Gogo Skhotheni, known for her spiritual work and candid personality, had previously opened up about her son’s health struggles, especially on his second birthday, when she shared a poignant message that touched the hearts of many. She expressed her sorrow and frustration at the ongoing health battles her young son faced, writing, “Monde Jr, you’ve been at that hospital bed ever since. You know all the nurses, doctors, and cleaners; we are now planning your second birthday. Are you still there?” This message, filled with a mother’s pain and hope, resonated deeply with her followers and highlighted the immense challenges the family faced.

During her pregnancy, Gogo Skhotheni endured complications that resulted in Monde Jr being born prematurely at seven months. His early arrival brought immediate health concerns, as he struggled to breathe shortly after birth. Doctors acted swiftly, rushing him to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) just two hours after he was born. His health battles continued from that moment, marking the beginning of a long and difficult journey for the young child and his parents.

For nearly two years, Monde Jr remained in the ICU, bravely fighting against his medical challenges. Throughout this time, Gogo Skhotheni and Monde Shange’s relationship was also put to the test. The couple’s personal lives were marked by ups and downs, including allegations of abuse that further strained their bond. Despite their differences and the turbulent nature of their relationship, they came together to support their son, demonstrating a united front during his lengthy hospital stay.

The passing of Monde Jr has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him and followed his journey. The young boy’s struggle for survival, marked by numerous hospital stays and medical interventions, became a testament to his resilience. Gogo Skhotheni’s candid posts about her son’s condition shed light on the realities of dealing with a child’s severe illness and the emotional weight it places on a family.

As the family grieves, they continue to reflect on the brief but impactful life of Monde Jr. His story, filled with love, pain, and resilience, has touched many and serves as a reminder of the fragility of life. The loss of a child is a profound and heartbreaking experience, and Gogo Skhotheni and Monde Shange’s journey is a powerful testament to the enduring strength of parents navigating unimaginable loss.

The community has shown an outpouring of support for Gogo Skhotheni and her family during this difficult time. As they mourn the loss of Monde Jr, they are surrounded by the love and condolences of those who have followed their story. This tragic chapter in their lives has not only brought attention to the challenges of parenthood under such dire circumstances but also highlighted the strength that Gogo Skhotheni embodies as a mother and public figure.

Chidimma Adetshina Speaks Out on Heartbreaking Backlash and Her Journey to Miss Universe Nigeria

mma Adetshina, once a top contender for the Miss South Africa crown, has opened up about the emotional turmoil she faced during the competition. Reported by TshisaLIVE, now crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Adetshina reflects on the “heartbreaking” backlash that led her to withdraw from Miss SA, a decision driven by both personal pain and scrutiny over her citizenship status.

Born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, Adetshina’s journey to the Miss SA stage was met with intense criticism, primarily centered on her name and heritage. In an interview with Silverbird Television, she shared the distressing experience of having her South African identity questioned. “What I do know is that I was born in South Africa, and I am a South African, and I’m still proudly Nigerian as well,” she said.

During the interview, Adetshina broke down in tears as she recalled the painful experience. “It all started because of my name. People were not happy that my name is Chidimma and that I am representing South Africa. South Africans felt like I was not South African enough because of my name, and it was really sad to see,” she said, her voice trembling. “It was a very horrible experience, and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I have lived there for 23 years, and it’s heartbreaking to see that I wasn’t welcomed and accepted.”

Adetshina’s Miss SA journey was initially filled with hope and excitement. After not making it in 2022, she was thrilled to make it to the top 30 in the next year’s competition. “I was just this little girl who has always wanted to achieve this dream of becoming the next Miss Universe,” she said. But as she progressed to the top 16, the criticism on social media became overwhelming.
