South Africans will be able to watch the Miss Universe finale live on S3 (formerly known as SABC 3) on 17 November as our first-ever differently abled contestant Mia le Roux competes.

HOW SOUTH AFRICANS CAN WATCH MISS UNIVERSE LIVE
S3, formerly known as SABC 3, will broadcast the Miss Universe pageant live in South Africa from 04:00 on Sunday 17 November. There will also be a repeat later that day at 20:00.

Reigning Miss SA, Mia le Roux, who made history as the county’s first-ever differently abled Miss SA, will be representing South Africa at the international pageant. She will be competing in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant taking place in Mexico City, Mexico. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event.

 

 
Contestants from 127 countries are competing in the competition which will be hosted by US TV personality Mario Lopez. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will serve as one of the commentators along with Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza, Puerto Rican TV personality Carlos Adyan and Brazilian actress, model and former Miss Universe contestant Julia Gama.ALL WOMEN OVER 18 ALLOWED TO COMPETE
The Miss Universe Organisation has allowed all women over 18 years old to participate, no matter their age, for the first time this year.

Le Roux is currently busy with rehearsals ahead of the pageant finale with the highly anticipated national costume reveal on November 16.

“We are proud to broadcast Miss Universe 2024 to South Africans again this year, but even more honoured to champion our current Miss South Africa, Mia le Roux – 1.8 million viewers tuned in to watch her crowning on S3 in August. I know she will be flying our flag high in Mexico and give her all on that stage. We have very high hopes that she will make us proud and make the world once again take note of South Africa,” said S3 Head of Channel, Sane Zondi.

The Skeem Saam actor Warren Masemola’s character, Gopane has vowed to turn Turfloop upside to find his son Smaki, who went missing a few months ago.
