He also appeared in Chandies, a Mzansi Magic sitcom, in 2012. He played the role of a con artist Daliza in the sitcom.
12. TIMMY KWEBULANA:1941-2024

Veteran actor Timmy Kwebulana was set to make a return on the movie, Homecoming, alongside long-term friend and renowned actress Thoko Ntshinga. But before the premiere of the movie, his family confirmed his passing after a short illness. Kwebulana was best known for his roles on Velaphi and Mazinyo Dot Q. 13. GENERAL CHISKOP:1975-2024

The last existing member of the Kwaito group Chiskop passed away this year. Siphiwe ‘General GTZ’ Sibisi passed away after a long battle with stomach cancer and battling some health complications after a botched operation in 2022. General GTZ was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and during an operation, he said in 2022 that he learned later that the doctors had allegedly cut the wrong tubes in his gut area, and that is when his health complications started. Taking it to the picture-sharing app, the celebrated influencer shared the proposal clip, which has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped online.Ayanda Thabethe captioned the post, “You are the perfect sunset where my quest for love has found its ending and the spectacular sunrise where my most meaningful adventure begins.

“Thank you for the greatest gift of all: your heart and our sons. I am deeply honoured to be your first and only wife, the one chosen to share this lifetime of love with you.”

However, Peter Matsimbe seemingly pulled all the stops to make the proposal priceless. It included an aisle lined with several white flower petals leading to LED lights that read, ‘Will you marry me?”

Against Ayanda Thabethe’s post, fans and fellow celebrities flooded her comments section with congratulatory messages.

Despite the priceless moment making headlines, the two have made headlines with their relationship.

In 2022, shortly after the announcement of her first baby, claims that Peter Matsimbe was an unfaithful husband started circulating. However, in a combined statement, the couple rubbished the rumours.

“We make this statement on behalf of Ms Ayanda Thabethe, who is supported by her partner, referred to as ‘PM’.

“The rumour that Ayanda Thabethe is in a relationship with a married man is not true and we have not been provided with evidence proving otherwise. PM is not in any marriage or union recognised by the law,” read the statement in part.

In September 2023, the two welcomed their second son.

Ayanda Thabethe confirmed the news with an Instagram post: “If you think my hands are full, you should take a look at my heart…Praise be to Jesus Christ / 09.09.23.”

She shared a picture of herself cradling her newborn in the backseat of a car.

SIYA KOLISI AND KIDS ON VACATION IN ZIMBABWE

Springboks captain Siya Kolisi and his estranged wife Rachel announced their split in October 2024. The pair have been married for eight years and met back in 2012. Siya and Rachel have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7).

 

 

 
The pair had also adopted Siya’s two siblings Liyema and Liphelo when they were younger. Liyema is now 21 and Liphelo 16. Siya shares a mom with his siblings, who tragically passed away. So, this Christmas and New Year was the first festive season since Siya and Rachel announced their split.

As per Siya’s Instagram Stories, he is currently in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe with his kids and siblings. Rachel was not seen in any of the photos that Siya posted.
