Kelly Khumalo Slams Shahan Ramkissoon Over Apology, Labels Him Arrogant

South African Afro-pop star and reality TV personality Kelly Khumalo has expressed dissatisfaction with eNCA journalist Shahan Ramkissoon’s apology following a significant on-air error. During a live news broadcast, Ramkissoon mistakenly announced the death of Kelly Khumalo instead of fellow singer Winnie Khumalo, sparking outrage from Kelly and her supporters.

## Shahan Ramkissoon’s Mistake and Apology

The incident occurred when Shahan, reporting on the death of house music singer Winnie Khumalo, incorrectly mentioned Kelly Khumalo’s name. The slip of the tongue quickly drew backlash, prompting the journalist to issue an apology both on-air and via his social media platform.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shahan explained, “I made an honest mistake, which I corrected shortly afterwards on air. It was a slip of the tongue as I ad-libbed the story. I take full responsibility for the error. To those seeking to amplify this for attention: do what you must trend and stay blessed.”

## Kelly Khumalo Calls Out Shahan’s “Arrogance”

Kelly Khumalo, however, did not take the apology well. Sharing a screenshot of Shahan’s post on her Instagram stories, she reacted by simply writing, “The arrogance.”
Earlier, Kelly had taken to Instagram to express her anger over the mistake, calling it disrespectful and reckless. She emphasized the impact such an error could have on her loved ones, including her children. “You may hate me or even think very less of me; however, this is very reckless, ignorant, and disrespectful not only to me but to those who love and care about me, especially my kids. PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY NAME,” she wrote.

## A Broader Conversation

This controversy has sparked broader discussions on the responsibilities of journalists and the potential impact of misinformation, especially when reporting on sensitive matters like death. Fans and critics alike have debated whether Shahan’s apology was adequate and whether Kelly’s reaction was justified.

A History of Tragedies and Baseless Blame

Patrick Shai Incident (2022): After Patrick Shai’s death, which followed his public apology for insulting Cassper, many baselessly suggested the rapper played a role in the actor’s struggles.
DJ Sumbody’s Death (2022): DJ Sumbody’s murder sparked rumors that Cassper owed him money, despite no evidence to support the claims.
AKA’s Tragic Death (2023): After AKA was shot and killed, Cassper once again found himself at the center of controversy, with some social media users drawing unfounded connections between the two due to their past rivalry.
Now, the death of Doc Shebeleza has reignited these accusations, with some users claiming Cassper should issue a public statement or post condolences, only to criticize him for doing so.Social Media Divided

One Twitter user wrote:

“When I heard of Doc Shebeleza’s death, the first person I thought of was Cassper. 💔 This guy has been losing almost everyone close to him. 💔 We need to take it easy on him, bro. He must be going through so much. 😭💔”Cassper’s Response

Condolences Pour In as Mashile Twins Open Up About Painful loss

Condolences Pour In as Mashile Twins Open Up About Painful Family Losses and Their Resilient Journey Through TragedyIn an emotional and raw revelation that has captivated the nation, South Africa’s beloved twin sisters, Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile, have shared the profound and often harrowing details of their journey through loss, trauma, and resilience. Known for their roles on prominent television shows such as Generations and Skeem Saam, the Mashile twins have garnered significant admiration for their acting prowess, but their recent personal disclosures have added a deeply human dimension to their public personas.

In a poignant episode on their YouTube channel, the Mashile sisters embarked on a cathartic journey into their painful past, shedding light on a narrative that transcends the fame and glitter of their celebrity status. The twins, inseparable since birth, have navigated a world marked by profound loss, growing up without their mother from a young age and losing their father under tragic circumstances. What followed were years of coping with unanswered questions, unresolved trauma, and the challenge of piecing together a fractured family history.

The Sisters’ Early Losses: The Heartbreak of Losing a Mother

In a deeply moving revelation, Millicent, the more public-facing of the duo due to her role on Generations, opened up about the searing pain of losing their mother when they were just four years old. She admitted that the initial months following their mother’s death are largely a blur to her, a mental fog that time has not yet lifted.

“I don’t remember the first couple of months at all. The only memories I have are from when I was in my 20s,” Millicent shared in a heart-wrenching moment during the video. Her candidness illuminated the deep emotional scars that an early loss of a mother can imprint on a young child, leaving Millicent and her twin sister to navigate their formative years without the nurturing presence of a maternal figure.Innocent Sadiki, known for her role as the popular character in Skeem Saam, also spoke at length about the emotional scars she continues to carry from her childhood.

Her experience with memory loss, a topic she only fully recognized when she was an adult, adds another layer of complexity to her narrative. Innocent confessed that she never had any real memories of their mother. All she had was a photograph, a fleeting image of the woman who had once been the center of her life.

For Innocent, the memory loss began to manifest in her adult years, particularly after she got married and became a mother herself.

The realization that she had no tangible memories of their mother left her with a profound sense of loss, a feeling of having missed out on crucial moments of bonding and affection that most children take for granted.
