Early life

On February 9th, 1999, Lerato Nxumalo was born. She was raised in the KwaMashu neighborhood of Durban, South Africa’s KwaZulu Natal Province. From her stepmother, Lerato has eight siblings seven girls and one boy.

Even though her parents are Zulu, only her late grandmother, her father’s mother, gave her a Sotho name.

When her mother was unable to give her the name she had intended for Nompumelelo, she gave it to Lerato’s younger sister.

Education

Lerato attended Northland Girls High in Durban. Before enrolling at Witswaterstand University in Johannesburg to pursue film and

television, she studied theatrical arts from eighth grade to twelve school.

Letato Nxumalo wanted to be an accountant when she grew up, but because she was copying her friend, she had no idea what an accountant did.

It wasn’t until she was in eighth school that she realized she wanted to be an actress.

Career in Acting

Before moving to Durban General, Lerato made multiple television appearances. On Isthembiso and Madume, she played a supporting part. She also played a supporting role in the featured movie Trapped.

She also made appearances in television commercials, including the lead role in the 2019 Aero campaign and the lead role in the 2017 Edgars Women’s Day campaign. auditioned for the 2020 season of the television drama Durban Gen.

She received a notification from her acting agency, Star Quality Management agency, which has offices in both Johannesburg and Durban, regarding the Durban Gen auditions.

During the lockout, she posted a self-tape to Durban Gen, and soon after, she got a call inviting her to come in for an audition.

Before being chosen for the part of Ndabezinhle Lithuli, she had auditioned for the roles of Uzondo, Ubali, and those. In order to play Mpumi Cele in the 1Magic serial Lingashoni, she later left Durban Gen.

The actor Patrick Mofokeng, who plays Mr. Cele, his father, is currently appearing opposite the former Durban Gen Dr. Lithuli star.

Relebohile Mofokeng was born on the 23rd of October 2004. As of August 2024, the Orlando Pirates Star is 19 years old.

Club career

Mofokeng progressed through the Transnet School of Excellence, before a transfer arrangement between South African Premier Division sides Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates was met, with Mofokeng joining Orlando Pirates and teammate Siyabonga Mabena joining the Mamelodi Sundowns.

Three weeks after his registration with the club, he changed his last name legally to Mofokeng – the last name of his father, and former footballer, Sechaba Mofokeng – and this would be his official name ahead of the 2023–24 season. This name change was confirmed by the Orlando Pirates on 4 August 2023.
