Matthews Rantsoma trended on social media this weekend for his dramatic weight loss.

‘SCANDAL!’ STAR DRAMATIC WEIGHT LOSS

The former Scandal! actor Matthews Rantsoma took to his social media this past week, in a since-deleted Instagram video to ask his fans to assist his niece.

Fans of Rantsoma noticed that the actor appears to have lost weight a lot of weight, since his appearance in the e.tv soapie.

Mzansi Soapies and Teasers on Facebook shared comments from the star’s fans who are concerned about his health.

The Safta-nominated actor revealed in an interview with Sowetan earlier this year that life hasn’t been easy since leaving the e.tv soapie.

“You know that feeling you have when you’re not working? Where there are constant waves of anxiety and depression? When you’re always overthinking, and problems are coming from all angles? The feeling where you experience what life is?,” he asked rhetorically.

“Life after leaving Scandal! was difficult. If I were to paint a picture of how [the past year] was, it would be a dark-coloured A2 canvas with a very colourful spot at the centre. There is so much darkness around it, but it keeps moving in,” adds Rantsoma.

MATTHEWS RANTSOMA: LATEST ROLE
The former Scandal! actor Matthews Rantsoma recently joined Showmax’s film Sterring after exiting Adulting.

Rantsoma plays the role of Moremi “Ramz” Kekana, a constant mockery who becomes a local hero.

SOAPIE FANS ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE ACTOR’S HEALTH
Gaopalelwe Motsielwa: “May God heal you bro… Be positive in life and prayerful… God hears every prayer.”

Kwandokuhle Phindokuhle: “Before he left scandal, the signs were there. May he fight and win the sickness. Speed recovery Nhlamulo. One of my favorites actors.”

Sadi Mosweu: “Some of us we are minding our own business… Nhlamulo doesn’t owe us any explanation about his health or anything. And I thank you.”

Sogo Makola: “Guys kgane how does a person have to look like? I mean some people are like that ever since they are born.”

Gogo Skhotheni Shares Her First Experience With Dark Practice

South African celebrity sangoma Gogo Skhotheni recently opened up about her first encounter with dark practices. The reality TV star revealed how she assisted an unknown hitman from Johannesburg, marking her initiation into a world she had never experienced before.

Skhotheni, who was still conducting consultations in eMbalenhle, Mpumalanga, at the time, recalled the chilling moment when she was approached by a man seeking protection after committing numerous crimes.

A Hitman Seeks Help
In an exclusive interview with ZiMoja, Gogo Skhotheni disclosed how she used dark spiritual means to help a hitman who had killed several people. She revealed that the encounter happened long before she became famous, back when she was practicing in a modest setup.

“I had a client from Joburg while I was still staying in eMbalenhle. He arrived at 6 in the morning and said, ‘Gogo, I am inkabi (hitman). My inyanga is dead.’ I wasn’t famous at the time. Nobody knew me. I was working in my mkhukhu and had two initiates,” she shared.

She further explained that the man confessed to being a professional hitman, stating that his job was his only means of survival. He sought her assistance after his previous sangoma passed away, fearing that the spirits of his victims might haunt him.

“This guy came to me and said that his work as a hitman was the only way he could provide for his family. He was afraid that the spirits of the people he had killed would come back to torment him,” she added.

Skhotheni’s Love Life Under Scrutiny
Beyond her spiritual work, Gogo Skhotheni’s personal life has also been making headlines. A recent post from @izidabazabantu revealed that the sangoma might be getting married soon.

She reportedly shared an Instagram story mentioning that her first lobola negotiations did not take long. In a leaked text message, she allegedly confirmed the ongoing discussions, stating, “They [are] busy negotiating as we speak ngise kamereni (while I’m in the room).”

Her love life has been a topic of speculation, especially following her rumored reconciliation with her ex, Monde Shange. The couple had allegedly broken up, but rumors surfaced in November 2024 suggesting they were back together.

Additionally, Skhotheni previously made headlines for admitting that she once used a love potion on her husband. She also had a public feud with fellow sangoma Gogo Maweni, with their clash lasting several days. There were even whispers linking her romantically to Mpumelelo Mseleku, the son of polygamist Musa Mseleku.

Suspicion Over Murder Questioning
Gogo Skhotheni recently appeared on the second season of Unfollowed, where she faced tough questions from host Prince Nzawumbi. Social media users were quick to analyze her body language, suspecting that she might be hiding something.

The interview sparked debate among viewers, with many questioning her reaction when Nzawumbi asked about the murder allegations linked to her spiritual work. Some speculated that she was being secretive, while others defended her, arguing that her role as a traditional healer requires confidentiality.

Conclusion
Gogo Skhotheni continues to be a fascinating figure in South African entertainment, with her spiritual practices, love life, and controversial interviews keeping her in the spotlight. Whether it’s assisting a hitman or navigating complex relationships, she remains a central figure in the traditional healing space.

As her story unfolds, fans and critics alike will be watching closely, eager to see what revelations come next.

Lebo Sekgobela speaks out against counterfeit ticket scam ahead of her upcoming shows

Lebo Sekgobela speaks out against counterfeit ticket scam ahead of her upcoming shows

Renowned gospel singer Lebo Sekgobela is grappling with frustration and disappointment as fraudulent ticket sales plague her highly anticipated concerts.

Lebo is set to host Worshippers Unleashed on March 29 at Emperors Palace and Gospel Love and Soul on April 26. The stellar lineup includes celebrated acts like Mafikizolo, Jaziel Brothers, Xolly Mncwango, Puleng March, Maleh, and Afrotraction.

Expressing her dismay, the Lion of Judah hitmaker revealed how scammers have been exploiting her fans through counterfeit ticket websites.

“I don’t think I’m the only one who has experienced such, as scammers have opened a fake ticket website to scam our fans whenever we host events. I think it really takes us back as artists. I feel it’s those times where piracy was on a high level. It’s like we are fighting a losing battle,” she lamented.

Lebo emphasized the need for improved security measures in ticket sales, reflecting on the industry’s transition from cassettes to CDs and now digital platforms, which continue to face similar challenges.

“It’s discouraging, [you] think you plan something but somebody wants to come and ride on that idea by selling fake tickets, just to make money out of artists. So it’s heartbreaking,” she added.

The singer called for innovative solutions to protect artists and fans from such scams. “I strongly feel we need to go back to the drawing board and think of a better option to sell tickets. I hope our people are more informed to know where to buy our tickets.”

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets only from verified platforms to avoid falling victim to these fraudulent schemes.
