“Back home”: Vusi Kunene dumps House of Zwide, returns to Generations: The Legacy

Veteran actor Vusi Kunene might have gotten tired of playing a protective family man who owns a fancy fashion house on e.tv’s House of Zwide. His character, Funani Zwide, recently left his fashion business to his children as he
went home to KwaZulu-Natal.
Kunene will be making his return on 14 August. City Press understands that the actor returned to the Generations: The Legacy set in the middle of June and he is back to stay.The executive producer of the show, Mfundi Vundla, said:

Entertainment commentator Mlu confirms that actor Vusi Kunene has rejoined SABC1’s soapie Generations: The Legacy.

The TVSA Generations: The Legacy August teasers reveal that someone is returning from the dead, on Wednesday, 14 August.

Wednesday 14 August: “Guess who’s back from the dead?”

Thursday 22 August: “Sphe is in a bad way after the shock she received.”

Kunene’s return comes after the Shaka Ilembe star took a break from his role as Funani Zwide in House of Zwide.

House of Zwide has been renewed for a fourth season following increased viewership. The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) May and June figures reveal that the telenovela is the most-watched show on e.tv with over 4 million viewers.
