Heartbreaking Loss: Bukiwe Keva Shares Her Pain After Losing Triplets

South African actress Bukiwe Keva, known for her role in the now-ended Mzansi Magic telenovela *Gomora*, has tragically announced the loss of her three babies, who she was expecting to welcome this year. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress opened up about her profound grief and the emotional turmoil she has faced following this devastating experience.

Keva, who has been in a relationship with a Zambian tycoon, took to social media to express her sorrow over losing her triplets. Her candid reflection resonated with many followers, drawing an outpouring of sympathy and support as she navigates this painful chapter in her life.

In her lengthy post, she poignantly articulated the depth of her loss, writing, “October whispers a solemn truth, a month devoted to the tender awareness of pregnancy and infant loss.” She shared that the heartache of losing three innocent souls creates a wound that is unparalleled in its intensity. The emotional weight of her experience was palpable as she conveyed her desire to have held her babies and shared stories of love and hope with them.

Keva emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring her lost children. “I hold my babies in the sanctuary of my heart, counting each precious moment as a treasure,” she wrote. This reflection illustrates not only her love for her lost children but also her commitment to keeping their memories alive. In the aftermath of her losses, she expressed her determination to channel her grief into something positive, stating that she has begun to establish a foundation in their honor.

Despite the shadows of grief that linger, Keva is committed to seeking light and healing. “Though it unfolds like flowers in the spring—layer by delicate layer,” she described her journey toward recovery. Her message serves as a reminder that grief is a testament to love, and she has chosen to embrace this complex emotion while encouraging others to do the same.

In her touching tribute, she reached out to other women who have experienced similar losses, reminding them that they are not alone in their pain. “You are seen in your pain, and your grief is a sacred journey,” she wrote, reinforcing the idea that shared experiences of loss can foster a sense of community and understanding among those who have suffered.

Keva’s words resonate deeply, particularly when she remarked on the instinctual connection between a mother and her children, even after loss. “When a baby is born, it’s a mother’s instinct to protect her baby. When a baby dies, it’s a mother’s instinct to protect their memory,” she expressed. This sentiment encapsulates the essence of motherhood, where the bond remains unbroken by physical absence.

Her heartfelt message concluded with a note of gratitude, acknowledging those who inspire others to share their stories of loss and resilience. Bukiwe Keva’s bravery in sharing her story not only honors her triplets but also highlights the importance of community support in the face of profound grief. As she navigates this heartbreaking journey, she continues to inspire others with her strength and vulnerability, reminding all that love transcends even the deepest sorrow.

Isiphetho has 1 been cancelled allegedly!

The drama series, which only began in April 2024, will not be renewed for a second season.

E.tv confirmed the news on Tuesday, 22 October.

The show stars Gugu Gumede, Linda Sokhulu, Peter Mashigo, Mjosti Mbhele, Kope “Tswyza” Makgae, and Mbalenhle Mavimbela

The channel’s manager of Local Programming, Vuyelwa Booi didn’t say why they cancelled the show. She just said they’re grateful to Black Brain Pictures for the show.

“The channel would like to express its sincere gratitude to Black Brain Pictures for their dedication to bringing this story of community, friendship, and second chances to life.

“The captivating tale of four friends in Mzimhlope resonated with viewers, sparking conversations and keeping them glued to their screens. While a second season is not currently planned, e.tv is committed to offering viewers a diverse and engaging primetime line-up,” she said.

The executive producer of Black Brain Pictures, Mpumelelo Nhlapo said: “Taking on the coveted 6.30pm slot has been an honour and, most importantly, a learning curve for us. We’d like to thank the channel for their continuous support and for letting us take on this pivotal role.”

Mandla N, the director, on the other hand, thanked the production team.

“It has been a privilege to create the show, and we would also like to thank the entire production team for their hard work and dedication in helping us bring Isiphetho-Destiny to life,” he said.

This is the third show e.tv is cancelling on their primetime spot.

In January 2023 and January 2024, they called Durban Gen and Nikiwe, respectively.

Their reason for cancelling the shows at the time was that they didn’t bring in numbers to the 6.30pm spot.

“The local primetime drama on e.tv will come to an end this year. Unfortunately, the show has not continued to deliver the anticipated ratings. The channel continually reviews programmes and storylines to ensure we give viewers the best local entertainment. Further information regarding the replacement show will be shared soon,” read the statement about Nikiwe at the time.

Black Brain Pictures was brought in to get the numbers back. A confident Mandla N spoke to Daily Sun in March 2024, saying they would bring back the numbers.

“We’ve done this on Mzansi Magic and the SABC. We’re currently doing it on e.tv at 9.30pm for Isitha: The Enemy. We come to rescue timeslots and do that well.

“The challenge is always great, we accept it. We’re excited because we did it with Isitha. We’re confident that with the support of the viewers, the media and everyone around us, we’ll bring in the numbers that the channel wants. I think this will be a game-changer for e.tv,” he said.

Polygamist and businessman Musa Mseleku and his family were first introduced to Mzansi’s big screens in 2017 on a Mzansi Magic reality show titled Uthando Nesithembu. The reality show showed the whole country how the Mselekus navigated life as a family with four wives married to one man.

New of its kind in Mzansi’s media scenes, Uthando Nesithembu kept television viewers glued to their screens, airing for six seasons to date.

Mzansi immediately fell in love with the Musa Mseleku’s wives namely, MaCele, MaYeni, MaKhumalo and MaNgwabe, with some picking favourites among the ladies.

Collectively, the wives have 10 kids, a number Musa wished could be doubled. In one of the seasons, MaCele, MaYeni and MaNgwabe expressed that they were not interested to add more kids, fuelling a need for the polygamist to request they allow him to take a fifth wife.

Let us look at the four wives and their offspring:

MaCele (wife number one)

At the beginning of the reality show, the Mselekus worked together in the family businesses, except for the last wife MaNgwabe, who was a nursing student at the time, something others wished could have been different as they were all working hard to make money for the family.

Even though it is currently unclear if MaCele is still fully operational at the family business, she has ventured into a talk show, hosting Igumbi Lamakhosikazi with the rest of the wives. MaCele is also a motivational speaker and a proud mother.

She has three kids from her marriage, Lwandle, Abongwe, and Owami. She, however, has raised her husband’s first child Snenhlanhla, later taking in her first child as well.

MaYeni (wife number two)

Musa had shared in a few episodes that he first dated MaYeni and wanted to marry her but her family refused for her to marry into polygamy, later agreeing and marrying after MaCele. She was, however, the first to have a child with Musa, but culturally he cannot take the position of a first born as he was born before they got married.

According to ZiMoja, Luthuli was recently let go by the production team shortly after Angel Zuma, Kwanele Mthethwa, and Msiza Njapha were said to be leaving.

A high source in the telenovela production alleged that Luthuli was let go because they didn’t know what to do with her character, and another said that this was just an excuse to get rid of her.

The source said: How come creatives who get paid to create characters do not know what to do with someone’s character? That was just an excuse to get rid of her.
