Speaking on the podcast, Story Time with Joshua Eady, Rassie Erasmus’s daughters spilled the tea about being the Springboks’ first family.

This included travelling abroad and interacting with twice-winning Rugby World Cup champions.

When asked who their favourite player was, both Carli and Nikki responded: “We love Jesse Kriel. He is the best person ever. Obviously looks wise and personality…He is a machine. Our mother likes him too”.

The twins went on to praise Jesse’s good manners and kind gestures.

They added: “Siya is also amazing; he is such a good person.”JESSE KRIEL IS A TWIN TOO!
Like Carli and Nikki Erasmus, Jesse Kriel is also a twin. His brother, Dan Kriel, lives in the US and plays professionally for the Seattle Seawolves.

Dan has also played for the Lions, Bulls, and the Stormers.

When Jesse is not wearing the Springboks jersey, he plays for Japan’s Canon Eagles.HOUSEWIFE…AND WAG!
Elsewhere in the interview, Rassie’s daughters were questioned about their studies and career path.

Both are studying for a BA in Humanities and are also professionally coaching netball. While Carli hopes to make it to the SA netball squad, Nikki claimed that her ultimate goal was to be a “housewife…and WAG.”

The blonde beauty is dating Andre-Hugo Venter, a Stormers player who was called up to the Springboks squad this year.

Sonia Booth has reacted to Rachel and Siya Kolisi’s divorce news

Sonia Booth, the ex-wife of retired Bafana Bafana player Matthew Booth, has responded to the headlines surrounding Springbok captain Siya Kolisi’s divorce from wife Rachel.

The businesswoman – whose soccer star husband allegedly left her for another woman – has also shared her opinion about female sports groupies.

In 2022, Sonia and Matthew made headlines after reports of his alleged affair with “friend” Bongani Moller.

SONIA BOOTH ON SIYA KOLISI DIVORCE
Speaking to Timeslive, Sonia Booth reflected on her own experience as a sports WAG in light of Siya Kolisi’s divorce.

Hinting at the Springbok captain, Sonia claimed that sportsmen were flooded with attention from female fans.

She said: “The uncultured, unpasteurised groupies have zero sense of personal space and zero regards for your feelings and existence. However, the onus lies on the player to address this.

“Some won’t, because the attention boosts their egos and inflates their heads.”

Another former Bafana Bafana WAG, Loui Fish – the ex-wife of retired soccer star Mark Fish – also related to Rachel and Siya Kolisi’s marriage breakdown.

She said: “Most super athletes come from poor or average backgrounds. Then overnight, they hit the big time, and life turns upside down. Nobody prepares you to deal with the fame, the money, the girls, the drinking, and the drugs.

“Boys will be boys, and they drag each other off to strip clubs, and all the groupies follow.”

NO HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Like Rachel, Siya Kolisi’s wife, both Sonia Booth and Louis Fish split from their sports star spouses.

Theirs was filled with allegations that their partners had been unfaithful.

In 2022, Sonia posted a social media expose about how her husband, Matthew Booth, had been having an affair with a woman named Bongani Moller.

Sonia also accused Matthew of misusing funds from Booth Trust. Following the bombshell allegations, Sonia added that she suspected Matt of trying to track her movements.

Matthew has denied the “unfounded allegations”.

Against the now-viral photos and videos, The South African has connected about Penny Ntuli’s new car. The on-air host bought a new VW T-Cross R-Line 2024.

The car’s base price tag is R600 000 in several dealerships around South Africa. However, prices tend to differ due to trims and the year of manufacture.

Surprisingly, she showed off one of her sleekest cars, a BMW X5 xDrive30d, with a base price tag of R1.8 million.

Barely a few days after announcing her resignation from Gagasi FM, she announced her new gig at Jozi FM. She will host the Mid Morning Chat Show on the Johannesburg-based radio station.

Tyla stuns as Halle Berry’s iconic flintstones character

This year, South African star Tyla wowed her fans by channelling Halle Berry’s iconic Sharon Stone character from The Flintstones.

It didn’t take long for the original Catwoman herself, Halle Berry, to notice—and to show her excitement.

HALLE BERRY AND TYLA
Halle Berry couldn’t contain her pride in seeing her characters brought to life by a new generation of stars like Tyla, according to Bella Naija.

On social media, Tyla shared photos of herself dressed as the unforgettable Stone character. This was a role Berry played in the 1994 live-action adaptation of The Flintstones.

TYLA’S STYLE DETAILS
The costume was on point, with Tyla donning the iconic tiger-print skirt set. This was reminiscent of Halle Berry’s outfit from the film.

To complete the tribute, Tyla captioned her post with a line inspired by the movie. “Well, I’ve been a very bad girl, but you have to admit… I was very verrrrry good at it.”

Fans were quick to praise Tyla’s clever homage.

HALLE BERRY AND THE YOUNG STARS OF HOLLYWOOD
Halle Berry herself joined in the celebration, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share her delight, according to IOL.

She wrote, “The girls know how to make my day.” Berry later added that seeing her characters so brilliantly reimagined was “the best compliment ever.”

But Tyla wasn’t the only star to bring Halle Berry’s film characters back to life this Halloween season.

American singer Coi Leray transformed into Berry’s Catwoman character, Patience Phillips. She brought back memories of the actress’s daring role in the 2004 film.

HALLE AND HALLE
Meanwhile, Halle Bailey, star of The Little Mermaid, appeared as Berry’s fierce Jinx character from the James Bond film Die Another Day.

All three tributes have made waves on social media, with each post gathering thousands of likes and supportive comments.

TYLA, THE SOUTH AFRICAN STYLE
In response, Berry made her appreciation known for each tribute.

“Thank you all for the love! I’m so proud of these girls,” she wrote. The actress expressed her excitement over the shared connection between herself and the new generation of talent.

She went on to say, “And they all crushed it,” praising the efforts the stars put into each look.

Back in South Africa, fans of Tyla celebrated her look, with many praising her for representing both local talent and global icons like Berry.

TYLA’S FANS REACT
One fan commented, “You nailed it, Tyla! So proud to see our own taking on Hollywood legends.” Another remarked, “You look fabulous and fierce – pure class!”

While fans continue to marvel at Tyla’s ability to blend Hollywood glamour with her own South African flair, Berry is clearly overjoyed by the recognition and tribute to her work.

She called Tyla’s homage one of the best moments she’s had online. She shared how deeply she appreciates the love and effort each of these stars poured into their costumes.

CATWOMAN ANNIVERSARY
Tyla’s Flintstones costume, and Berry’s warm reaction, come at a significant moment, according to The Independent.

Earlier this year, Berry celebrated the 20th anniversary of Catwoman with a bold photoshoot that reminded fans of her enduring charisma and fearless style.

HALLOWEEN SEASON
As Halloween season kicks into full gear, it’s no wonder that so many stars are taking inspiration from her legendary characters.

One thing is clear: Tyla’s look wasn’t just a costume; it was a celebration.

With Halloween underway, these tributes to Halle Berry remind fans around the world of how her roles have become embedded in pop culture—and now, thanks to Tyla, in South African style as well.

The Impact of Fiction on Reality: Sicelo Buthelezi’s Encounter with Fans

In the realm of television, the boundary between fiction and reality often becomes blurred, especially when actors portray characters involved in controversial or sensitive storylines. Recently, South African actor Sicelo Buthelezi, known for his role as Toby on the popular soap opera “Skeem Saam,” experienced this phenomenon firsthand. His portrayal of a character embroiled in troubling circumstances ignited strong reactions from viewers, culminating in an uncomfortable encounter at a local garage.

During this incident, a fan confronted Buthelezi with the remark, “Eyy ke wena rapist ya #SkeemSaaam,” referencing Toby’s questionable actions toward his girlfriend, Ntswaki. This unexpected comment caught Buthelezi off guard, leaving him feeling a mix of surprise and discomfort. He later expressed on social media, “Kind of felt something inside hey. I’m just an actor bro.” This encounter underscores the powerful emotional responses viewers can have toward characters and the stories they represent.

### The Storyline of Toby

Buthelezi’s character, Toby, finds himself in a deeply problematic narrative where he disregards his girlfriend Ntswaki’s signals of discomfort about intimacy. The storyline unfolds with Ntswaki avoiding Toby’s calls and expressing her desire to go home, yet Toby proceeds without considering her feelings or obtaining her consent. This portrayal has sparked significant discussions among audiences about consent and the emotional ramifications of such situations.

The reactions to this storyline reflect the complex social issues that television can highlight, raising awareness about the importance of consent and personal boundaries. “Skeem Saam” has often tackled sensitive topics, and Toby’s actions serve as a catalyst for broader conversations about relationships and accountability.

### Fan Reactions and Support

Despite the negative aspects of the interaction, many fans took to social media to defend Buthelezi, emphasizing that such strong reactions were indicative of his compelling performance. Supporters noted that being “harassed” for his character’s actions showed his ability to bring Toby to life authentically. One fan remarked on the importance of the dialogue that Sicelo’s portrayal has initiated, recognizing the sensitive nature of the topics explored in the show.

This support highlights the dual nature of acting; while actors embody fictional characters, they also provoke real emotions and discussions in their audience. The strong responses from fans reveal their deep emotional investment in the storylines and characters, demonstrating how art can influence societal perceptions.

### The Broader Implications of Storytelling

Buthelezi’s experience sheds light on the challenges actors face when portraying controversial roles. Characters like Toby can serve as mirrors reflecting real-life issues that demand attention and discussion. Such portrayals not only entertain but also educate audiences about significant societal problems.

Furthermore, the backlash against other characters, such as Melita—played by Hellen Motsuki, who faces similar scrutiny—reinforces the idea that viewers often project their feelings about storylines onto the actors themselves. This emotional investment can create an environment where actors are held accountable for their characters’ actions, blurring the line between performance and reality.

### Conclusion

As Sicelo Buthelezi navigates the complexities of being recognized for a controversial role, his experience exemplifies the profound impact that television characters can have on audiences. The intense reactions to his portrayal of Toby reflect larger societal conversations about consent and relationships. Through engaging with complex narratives, viewers are encouraged to reflect on their own beliefs and experiences, fostering understanding and empathy. In this way, Buthelezi’s journey serves as a testament to the power of storytelling in shaping societal norms and inspiring meaningful dialogue.
