Botswana-born South African actress and producer Connie Ferguson has expressed her excitement at becoming a grandmother for the second time.
She shared her joy during the baby shower of her eldest daughter, Lesedi Matsunyane Ferguson. In her speech, the former Generations star said, “To say I am excited to be a grandmother again is the understatement of the year.”
Connie admitted to being one of those parents who gently nudges their children about life milestones.





“When I see the years going by, I ask Lesedi, ‘What’s happening?’ And you know what she says to me? ‘You also waited 10 years.’”
Connie’s grandson, King Ro, will celebrate his 10th birthday this year, and her daughters, Lesedi and Ali, are roughly a decade apart in age.
Connie also took to Instagram to share her excitement about her growing family.
“And baby makes 5! 🥰 What a blessing! 🙏🏾❤️ Thank you to our little village for coming out to celebrate with us! 😊 Love and appreciate you STACKS!”
She also expressed gratitude to everyone who attended the baby shower to support Lesedi.
“Thank you for being here. Thank you for loving my daughter and for supporting her.”
Overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, Lesedi shared her appreciation, saying, “This one is for the homies… the chosen aunts and uncles. My babies are lucky to have you all, and so am I. I love you guys.”
