Taking to Facebook, Rebecca set the record straight; she said it wasn’t Lindelani’s fault as he was only following instructions as he MC of the event.

“South Africa, my beautiful family, thank you so much for all your love and concern. UMama Wenu (your mother) is 100% fine. My performance was cut short because of the time limitations caused by the strict schedule and protocol that we all had to follow. It was not anyone’s fault. I am fine. Lindelani Mkhize and I have been colleagues for many years, and we share deep respect for each other. He was not at fault at all; he was just doing his job,” Malope said.

Dr Rebecca Malope Defends Lindelani Mkhize
Gospel singer Rebecca Malope has come to the defence of Lindelani Mkhize in light of allegations that he showed her disrespect during the funeral service of the late Zanele Mbokazi, who was the founder of the Crown Gospel Music Awards.
A video clip from Zanele Mbokazi’s funeral service recently made the rounds on social media platforms. In this footage, Rebecca Malope can be seen delivering a performance on stage. However, midway through her rendition, the music abruptly came to a halt. Curious and perhaps a bit concerned, Malope attempted to find out what was happening. Before she could get any answers, Mkhize intervened and asked her to step off the stage.
The video has sparked outrage online. Despite the backlash, Malope has addressed the controversy defending Mkhize.
“My performance was cut short because of the time limitations caused by the strict schedule and protocol that we all had to follow. It was not anyone’s fault. I am fine. Lindelani Mkhize and I have been colleagues for many years and we share deep respect for each other. He was not at fault at all, he was just doing his job,” she wrote.
