Tumi Masilela was an accomplished actor, musician, and former footballer. Best known for his role as Israel on “Rhythm City,” Tumi initially pursued a soccer career, playing for SuperSport United. However, a car accident forced him to leave sports and focus on music and acting. In August 2017, Tumi was fatally shot during a hijacking attempt. His passing at the age of 29 shocked South Africa, and the suspects were later arrested and charged with his murder.
