Gogo Maweni appreciates her ancestors after release from jail

Celebrity sangoma Gogo Maweni, whose real name is Makgotso Mofokeng, has resumed her social media activities following her release on R5,000 bail.

Maweni was recently freed after spending a week behind bars on charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

 

 

 
Taking to Instagram, Maweni shared glimpses of her performing rites to the ancestors in appreciation for her release.

In the post’s caption Gogo Maweni appreciates God and the ancestors; she promised to release a statement.

“Dear Ancestors and God for this lesson I will forever be grateful. Official Statement to follow,” she wrote.

Taking to social media, she expressed gratitude to God and the ancestors for helping her achieve success over the case.

Gogo Maweni shared another post where she bought food and other nice things for pregnant women in Suncity prison.

“I met incredible women with amazing stories…! will forever cherish them in my heart. I’d also like to take a moment to publicly recognize the wardens working in SunCity prison, for their exceptional work. Their dedication, love, and unwavering commitment to excellence truly shone through, exceeding all expectations and making a significant impact on the women,” she captioned the Instagram post.
