Speaking to Drum magazine, the heart-throb confirmed that he will be leaving the popular show and mentioned that from the onset, he knew his character would come to an end. He’s made peace with his departure. “The character was always going to end at the end of the season. That’s how he was pitched to me at the beginning of the season. So it’s nothing new. The character was always going to die,” he explained.

There was skepticism when he took over from Zolisa Xaluva as Caesar, but he stayed the course. In a previous interview with Drum, the star said he was excited about being part of season three of the show. However, it has now emerged that he will be replaced by another prolific actor. “His character won’t die, but he will be replaced by Siyabonga Twala. Although they speak different languages, the actor will replace Hlomla. His contract has come to an end with the show, and given the magnitude of his character,According to the source, Hlomla’s departure from the show comes as a surprise since introducing a new character wasn’t initially planned. “Hlomla was penciled in for the new season, but things changed at the last minute. He wasn’t meant to leave the show, but there was a last-minute decision to replace his character. He will appear for the next two weeks before going off screen,” the source says.

It remains to be seen how Siyabonga Twala will be received by the show’s ardent viewers when he appears next month. “Due to the unpredictability of the viewers, we still don’t know how they’ll react to Siyabonga, as seasoned as he is. It wasn’t easy for Hlomla, but only time will tell how he’ll fit into the show,” the source explains.

It seems as if viewers can anticipate new character dynamics and thrilling plot twists following the addition of Siyabonga Twala to the cast.
