Molefe confessed to Maria, his colleague at the salon, that he had stolen the money. Initially, he lied, claiming he got the money from a friend who is a prophet.
Maria managed to extract the truth from him. Molefe admitted he was at the Zwide house to drop off Dorothy’s charger when he saw the money and was tempted to take it, thinking it would solve all his problems.
He told Maria he would confess, but she advised him to keep quiet and die with the secret. She suggested he move the money from its hiding place at Isaac’s house. However, as he was relocating it, Isaac, Dorothy, Ona, and Keletso caught him.
