Itumeleng Khune & his wife Sphelele under fire for supporting Orlando Pirates

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng “Itu” Khune and his wife Sphelele have received a tongue-lashing for supporting rival club Orlando Pirates.

The couple attended a Nedbank Cup match over the weekend, where the Buccaneers beat Baroka 3-1.

ITU KHUNE AND WIFE CRITICISED OVER ORLANDO PIRATES SUPPORT
In an Instagram post, Itu Khune and his wife Sphelele posted pics of their experience watching Orlando Pirates live in action.

The couple – who wore black, seemingly in support of Pirates – were spectators at the Soweto Stadium.

In the comments section of his post, Khune – who has shares in a sports betting agency – was questioned by confused Kaizer Chiefs fans over his allegiance. The former Amakhosi goalkeeper’s wife also teased her followers on her own Instagram account.

“You can tell which team I was supporting,” she captioned a selection of pics from the match.

Responding to comments, Khune assured his followers that he was “Amakhosi 4 Life”. His wife – who said he was a “KC Girl” – conceded about the opposition: “They play good football.”
