Linda Mtoba attended the Oscars in LA and she looked AMAZING.

South African actress Linda Mtoba was a vision in red at the 97th Academy Awards held in the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles on Sunday, 2 March 2025.

Mtoba attended the event in collaboration with wine/spirits giant Don Julio Africa.

She showcased her journey to Los Angeles on social media, including her transit at the airport, a snippet of her dress design sketch, and her glam up session.

“She’s at the airport again – with my plus 1 @donjuliosa,” Linda wrote on InstagramMtoba also posted a series of pics of herself on the Oscars red carpet where she wore a red couture dress by local designer Nolanga Made and said, “Had the pleasure of being at this years Oscar’s _ (a dream come true).”

It appears the former The River star rubbed shoulders with Hollywood A-listers Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.

Broadcasting personality Anele Mdoda also attended the Oscars with some of the cast members of the South African short film The Last Ranger.

The multi-award winning film, which is directed by Cindy Lee and produced by Kindred Films, was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscars.

The film explores the theme of rhino poaching and is supported by Rose and Oaks Media, a production company co-owned by Mdoda.

It sadly lost out to the dark comedy I’m Not a Robot.
