Babes Wodumo sends a love voice note to Mampintsha

Babes Wodumo is very much in love with her late husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo who died in December 2022.

In a recent post on social media, the Gqom singer shared a voice-note sent on WhatsApp to the father of her child, Sponge Wodumo.

Babes could be heard wailing and crying heavily as she told her late husband about how much she love him.

Speaking in her home language; IsiZulu, the singer said: “I want you to know one thing, I love you and I will always love you baby. I know you didn’t like it when I cry, I love you though. I know you won’t hear this voice note, but.”

The post comes a few days after she celebrated the posthumous birthday of the Big Nuz member.

“Grief will make you look like you are losing your mind, one day you are ok the next day you are fighting deep waves of emotions. We understand you , we get you,” a follower wrote in the comment.

“Let no one ever rush your healing & how you heal. God cover you with love Sis,” Refilwe Modiselle wrote.

Months ago, Babes Wodumo was rumored to have moved on and now in a new romantic relationship with the former Amaroto member, Zuma.

However, the two musicians are mute about the rumors as they are focused on their lives

Simz Ngema says she doesn’t mix grieving her ex and loving her current partner

Simphiwe Ngema recently opened up about how she grieves the death of her late husband Dumi Masilela while in a romantic relationship with her baby daddy, Tino Chinyani.

The South African singer and businesswoman talked about this while consoling Babes Wodumo who mourns the death of her husband, Mampintsha.

Taking to the comment, a fan asked how Simz copes and the star said she does the same thing Wodumo does.

“I do what she’s doing. Cry, text him, watch videos. It’s not something that goes away. You just learn to live with it. Days are different, some days you cry like it happened yesterday and Special days are hard (birthdays, anniversaries) 7 years later and it still hurts.”

Simphiwe further revealed that it is not easy grieving while in a relationship with Tino, but she tries not to mix grief and love.

“Honestly, it’s not easy. I try and keep my grief and love separately in order to respect him. Although he’s said I can talk to him about it, I don’t. It’s not fair on him. I’d rather speak to my family about it. I have to respect my new life and give it my all.”

“Whether I like it or not, the loss I experienced is in the past and what I’m trying to build is my future. It was a tough pill to swallow but I pray and keep it moving. Life carries on with or without you. I’ve chosen to live and not be drowned by sorrow and pain. The pain will always be there. It shouldn’t stop you from living,” she added.

Scandal! Faces Viewer Challenges
Recent figures from the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) indicate that Scandal! has experienced a decline in viewership. The show was overtaken by Smoke and Mirrors, which is now the third most-watched TV show on e.tv with 3.6 million viewers. The loss of viewership can be traced back to March when Scandal! lost its signature first position to SABC1’s soapie, Skeem Saam, which debuted in the 19:30 timeslot. Skeem Saam has seen an increase in viewership, reaching 4 million viewers in April and 4.43 million viewers in May.
