Tsotsi the movie is about a young street thug, steals a car only to discover a baby in the back seat and spends six days in a violent and agitated situation which leads to an emotional bond towards the end.
The film was so good that it won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. The Tsotsi Taal spoken in the film astonished the entire globe since it was completely unique and out of this planet. We all speak and understand it, so it’s nothing unusual to us, but when the rest of the world heard it, it blew their minds.
I felt it would be interesting to reflect on the people who contributed to the film’s uniqueness. The cast, in particular. I’ll show you where they are now, and what they’re up to, after 17 years. Most importantly, show you how they appear and how much they’ve changed in the last 17 years.
