South African musician, actor and director, Timmy Kwebulana has passed after a short illness on Thursday, 19 September.
The Kwebulana family confirmed the sad news in a statement and requested some time to gather before further details regarding the funeral and memorial details are shared.
“We give thanks for his life and all his contribution to us as a family, and to the arts and entertainment industry for almost 6 decades.
May his legacy continue to inspire us and those who are still to come.
We acknowledge that there will be lots of heartfelt messages of condolences towards the family and relatives. We appreciate them so much, however, we do request, especially the media and our industry colleagues, that the family is given some time to gather and organize logistics and way forward.”
Timmy Kwebulana is known for his supporting roles in television shows such as Fishy Feshuns and Mazinyo Dot Q.
He played the role of Bra Vic Tau, the founder of Shooting Stars F.C, in the e.tv drama series Shooting Stars, from 2007-2010.
Timmy also guest starred in an episode of the Mzansi Magic sitcom Chandies, in 2012.
