‘Smoke and Mirrors’ actress Charmaine Mtinta as Nomeva

E.tv’s popular show Smoke and Mirrors has been green lit for another season.
‘SMOKE AND MIRRORS’ RENEWED

Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela reveals that e.tv’s telenovela Smoke and Mirrors has been renewed for a third season.


 

 

 
TVSA reported in September that Smoke and Mirrors currently has more than 3.1 million viewers.

The show is the fourth most-watched TV show on the channel after Scandal! which has 3.3 million viewers.

Former Yizo Yizo actress Charmaine Mtinta reprised her sangoma character, Nomeva on the e.tv telenovela in September.

Nomeva was kidnapped by Caesar’s sangoma, Ngcuka (played by Albert “Ibokwe” Khoza) at the end of season one and was turned into a zombie.Mphela also announced in August that legendary actor Hlomla Dandala has left Smoke and Mirrors.

E.tv welcomed the actor for the recast role of Caesar Ngonyama in season two of the hit telenovela.

He made an appearance from the 16 April at 9pm at Caesar and Thandiswa’s wedding day.

Dandala previously revealed to IOL that the role was an exciting challenge for him. His aim was to please and ensure that he delivers as a performer.

“Playing a villainous character such as Caesar will surely bring the best out of me. But more than anything I’m excited to be back with the eFamily and I look forward to a real joyride as we enter the second season of the show.”

Dandala’s character Caesar married Thandisa (played by talented actress Ayanda Bandla) at the end of season one.

The thespian replaced Zolisa Xaluva who portrayed the role of Caesar in season one.
