Puma has unveiled its latest brand ambassadors: rising amapiano stars Zee Nxumalo and Young Stunna. The announcement was made at the recent Speedcat Fitstop event in Johannesburg, where the two artists took center stage, setting the tone for an exciting new partnership.
According to Sowetan LIVE, the event, held in Braamfontein — the heart of Puma South Africa — was an electrifying celebration of the iconic Speedcat sneaker. With its performance racing-inspired silhouette, the Speedcat sneaker was showcased in style, with headline performances by Zee, Stunna, and Maglera Doe Boy. Their performances brought the house down, offering guests a glimpse of what’s to come.
Fuelled by the vibrant energy of the event, Zee and Stunna were thrilled to kick off their journey with Puma. Their first collaboration with the brand is featured in Puma SA’s national Speedcat campaign, set to launch in December.
“We are super excited to welcome Zee and Stunna to the Puma Fam,” said Brett Bellinger, Puma’s marketing director. “These exceptionally talented young artists are a perfect match for the Speedcat campaign and join global superstars like Dua Lipa and K-pop sensation Rosé in redefining the iconic sneaker for a new generation.”
The Speedcat campaign tells the story of a road trip under the Jozi sun, with Zee’s adventure beginning in the classic black Speedcat sneakers. She pairs them with a sleek silver racing jacket, cruising through the open roads as the city fades into the distance, radiating effortless elegance. Zee’s style and energy are undeniable, making her the perfect fit for the campaign.
Meanwhile, Stunna’s journey starts in the fiery red Speedcat sneakers, paired with customised denim. His bold look and adventurous spirit shine through, as he joins Zee on a road trip full of surprises, defying expectations along the way.
