A close friend revealed that they have met each other’s families, and his intention is to marry her. “He is very clear about what he wants,” the friend says. “Bonang would never show him off if it was not for keeps. Her mom knows him, and everyone is happy for them.”
Bonang previously dated Skwaata Kamp rapper, author, and TV producer Siyabonga ‘Slikour’ Metane, who got married to Melissa Wilkinson. She also dated DJ and property mogul Themba ‘DJ Euphonok’ Nkosi, who has also since gotten married twice. The two separated after reports of abuse and infidelity. She had a brief stint with Nigerian artist D’banj and a few years later, she dated the late rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes while he was still in a relationship with DJ Zinhle Jiyane. But after her break-up with AKA, Bonang said she has learned to separate her love life from her career. Looking happy in her new relationship, Bonang is said to have introduced David to her family.

David Phume is the nephew of former Mr. South Africa, Paul Phume. David is said to be a born entrepreneur with charisma and creativity. He was born in Johannesburg and studied 3D animation at a private college. He also graduated from a San Francisco-based animation school. He also studied robotics and AI online with Udacity. He founded his award-winning Penthouse Motion Pictures company in 2005, a broadcast design and animation studio. He spent a lot of time in Silicon Valley circles and eventually launched Blockchain, a platform to develop young African technologists and computer scientists to identify problems in Africa and find solutions through technology.
