Congratulations to South African actress Mampho Brescia and her husband – the pair recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

Mampho B took to social media to mark this joyous milestone in their love journey with a heartfelt post to her husband. “20 YEARS of bliss ANNIVERSARY, My Darling husband, half of Me,” she wrote to him.

Speaking to Bona Magazine a few years ago, Mampho revealed that she met her husband at a gym.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
“He walked up to me and we started chatting. I thought he was a potential stalker when he approached, but speaking to him, there was something about his spirit that made me connect with him immediately,” she told the magazine.

“He was so kind and warm that I felt comfortable giving him my number. He called me the next day, and we went on a date. I knew then that he would be my husband. I remember asking him on that first date what his intentions were with me. I’d never been so frank with any other guy before, but I was so comfortable with him.”

From then on, they have been inseparable, marrying a year after their first date.

“My husband is damn close to being perfect. He loves me with a love that is ethereal. He is the one person who esteems me more than he does himself. His love for me is unmatched. He really is an incredible soul. Our love is alien-like. I call him my amore (meaning ‘love’ in Italian),” she shared with the publication.

She also revealed that she has a tattoo inscribed with “more” on her arm, a tribute to her husband that she got while living in the US. “I was missing him so much and decided to get it in his honour,” said the actress.

Mampho Brescia is a South African actress, television presenter, and voice artist best known for her role as Zanele, the lover of the title character in the M-Net drama series Jacob’s Cross.
