Happy birthday to Jub Jub : but how old is he?

Molemo Katleho Maarohanye, best known as Jub Jub, is trending against the backdrop of his birthday. The celebrated rapper and reality TV host turned a year older, and Mzansi quickly flooded his social media feeds with warm birthday wishes.


 

 

 

 
JUB JUB’S AGE REVEALED
Jub Jub’s birthday has since thrust him into the top trends. With an illustrious career spanning years, the muso has managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about his age.

Fans and fellow celebrities were quick to flood his social media feeds with warm birthday wishes. However, Mzansi was puzzled by Jub Jub’s age. The 44-year-old star was born on 29 June 1980. He joins a host of celebrities who recently celebrated their birthdays.

Seasoned actress Sophie Ndaba also turned a year older on 29 June. The 51-year-old star was born in 1973 in Soweto.

CAREER
Jub Jub has been winning big since his thrust into the limelight. He was undoubtedly a child star who lived up to the dream. He had his shot at fame when he was featured in a famous Coca-Cola TV advert in 1991.

The advert also featured soccer legend Doctor Khunalo. Despite his newfound fame, he went on to present multiple TV shows, including Jam Alley and Selimathunzi.

He has undoubtedly wowed many with his flair on small screens while hosting several shows, including Uyajola 9/9. However, apart from Uyajola 9/9, he has starred in several reality shows, including You Promised to Marry Me and Uthando Noxolo.

Apart from his small screen wins, he has won big as a rapper. His smash hits have won big in recent years.

Despite his big wins, Jub Jub has had his fair share of drama. His love life and failed relationships have often seen him making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Jub Jub’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Kelly Khumalo, once accused him of abuse. However, Amanda Du Pont made the same daring allegations, and the muso is currently before the courts.

On 8 March 2010, he hogged headlines when he was involved in a drag racing accident with his friend Themba Tshabalala on a public road near a school. The two were both sentenced to 25 years in jail each for murder, attempted murder and three other related offences.

Their sentences were reduced to ten years in 2012, and he was released on 5 January 2017 on parole after four years.
