Lira is back after being hit by a stroke

Lerato Moipone Molapo is one of the powerful woman of South Africa who are highly respected and honoured wherever they go. As a musician who has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades, she has grown so much and so much has improved in her craft. Famously known as Lira because of her stage name, this beautiful woman is one of the pioneers of South African R&B, Afro-soul and Jazz.

Born on the 14th of March in 1979, the 44-year-old started singing when she was only 16 years old and has captured the heart of South Africa ever since. As a musician who has gained international recognition, Lira has performed in so many countries and she is renowned all over.


 

 

 

 

In April of 2022, the singer travelled to for a performance Germany where she suddenly suffered a stroke that affected her ability to speak. She confirmed that she was diagnosed with Aphasia which is a language disorder caused by damage in a specific area of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension. Her family issued out a statement all over her social media platforms that she returned to South Africa and was undergoing treatment by the best medical team available at the time.

Indeed the worked their best to help her recover and ultimately return back to doing what she has always loved doing which is singing. Lira has recently shared a video of herself living fancy in a train and having the best time of her life. with a fancy dishes and a glass of wine.
