Polygamist Labels Tira Arrogant And Disrespectful

Polygamist Lucky Gumbi from the new SABC reality show The Gumbi’s had declared his hatred towards DJ Tira. He labeled the Durban DJ ‘arrogant’ and ‘disrespectful’, saying he does not respect people around him.

On his reality show he said he does not care about Tira and his music because he feels as though Tira is full of himself. “Even when you look at Tira you can see that he is for himself. I’d say he is arrogant.”

The polygamist said when he was still working in events, he would hire many DJs and be in good terms with many of them. But with Tira, he did not acknowledge him.

“I used to invite him and other DJs when I still worked on events. I’m cool with other DJs. We even greet each other. With him, we could meet at the garage and he would pass like he didn’t know you. I don’t care about him or his music, but He needs to learn to respect other people and those who support his music,” Gumbi said on his show.

Tira told Daily Sun that he does not care much about the man as he does not know who he is. “I’ve no idea who this man is. I don’t remember engaging with him. I don’t want drama in my life. And if ngamdelela ngiyaxolisa, nganginga qondile. (If I disrespected him, I apologize. It was not my intention.)

Lucky Gumbi is the new polygamist in town and lives happily with his two wives, Bayede and Nombuso Gumbi. Their reality show premiered on SABC 1 November 7 at 18h00.

Prior to the airing of the first episode, Gumbi had taken shots at well known polygamist, Musa Mseleku and his reality show, comparing his wives to his. Uthando Nes’thembu follows the lives of Musa Mseleku and his four wives MaKhumalo, MaYeni, MaNgwabe, MaCele, and their children.

Gumbi claimed that Uthando Nes’thembu does not clearly display what polygamy is about. He said people will get to re-learn what true polygamy is about.

“I’m aware of the other reality show on TV about polygamy. With The Gumbis, people will get to see the true meaning of polygamy. In my polygamy there are no fights as I treat them equally. The older wife doesn’t control me or the second wife,” he told Daily Sun.

Musa clapped back and issued a stern warning to Gumbi to steer clear from him. “I don’t know this Gumbi and I’m sure he doesn’t know me, either. He must stop meddling in my house affairs. He has no right to compare his polygamy with mine. If anything, I’m the champion of polygamy and made the concept of isithembu a trend.”
