Boity’s Mom Expresses Tears Of Joy At 50th Birthday Party
South African media personality, Boity Thulo, has officially won daughter-of-the-year, following the intimate, yet special birthday party thrown for her mother. The fragrance owner shared a detailed video of the festivities on Instagram today, 18 September 2020, showcasing the glamorous soiree. She captioned the post with, “This love is all my heart yearns for. It is a Love that will always matter the most. Thank you for capturing such an incredible day so beautifully, Onkabetse Hlongwane.”
The video showed Boity ushering her mother into the surprise party, which was decorated with extravagant décor for the small crowd. Observing the lockdown rules, the party consisted of a guest list of less than 50 people, who were offered hand sanitisers upon their arrival.
Boity’s mother, Modiehi Thulo, was overcome with emotion as she saw the effort put into the party, and broke down in tears whilst delivering her speech. She stated, “Everything you do for me, I appreciate with all of my heart. I may not say it often or at the right time but just know that from the bottom of my heart, there is a lot of appreciation. I wish, that you could have kids that would do the same for you. You are a very special child.”
Boity reciprocated the love for her mother in her own speech, and thanked her for being the woman that she is. Other members of her family also wished her a happy birthday, whilst honouring her for all that she has accomplished throughout her life.
The mother and daughter have showcased their close relationship on Boity’s reality show, Own Your Throne. A part from receiving praises for being a supportive mother, Modiehi has also gained a following of her own, due to her hilarious personality. Many have stated that the surprise birthday party was a testament to the pair’s special bond.
