Makhadzi has once again faced the wrath of bullies who body shamed her, after pictures exposing her dark inner thighs went viral. The malicious intent of the photographer was to supposedly humiliate Makhadzi, but she soldiered on and said she is proud of her body just the way it is.

The Ghanama hitmaker was performing in Malawi at the Sands Music Festival this past weekend and had the time of her life. She declared Malawi her new home as they gave her a warm welcome. “MALAWI you are the best…I found another home and I am coming back very soon,” she said.

But out of all the amazing things Makhadzi could be trending for, she is trending for the picture where her inner thighs are exposed. On social media, it is surprisingly women who body shamed her – a trend we have seen time and time again.

There is a woman who mocked Makhadzi by posting a sunlight green bar soap, and scrubbing net, saying water and that combo is all she needs to make her thighs less darker. This and many other hurtful comments did not sit well with Makhadzi, who said she might be strong and all but her family and friends ae not and they are saddened by this.

What shocked many was the fact that she had to apologise for having dark inner thighs, which is absurd. “I would like to apologise to all my fans if only if you really disappointed about these pictures…” she started off.

Makhadzi said there are a lot of beautiful pictures taken from the concert but the photographer chose to post just that very one picture, damaging her in the process.

“There were lot of beautiful pictures that the cameraman was gonna post, but he choose to post this to promote his brand but forgetting the damage he is doing to my soul…I know I am strong and all this will pass…Unfortunately I cannot change my inner part. I am like this and I am proud,” she said.

“The only thing that you people are doing is to try to edit my pictures nikhonanisa mafhungo .. yes I am strong but my family and friends they are not strong as I am…seeing them crying about edited pictures really break me and affect my me badly. I would like to ask everyone who react with this picture and edited pictures that you are planting something that can affect me badly…I humble my self politely to ask everyone to stop humiliating me…I don’t have energy to block you I love you all,” she wrote and then proceeded to promote her album.

Many of her supporters flooded her comments section to try and console her. Inno Matitjane said dark inner thighs are common amongst women and she should not apologise for having them, “I’m sorry, no need to apologise babes. Umhle, this is how a natural body looks like, most women & even men who are thick have dark inner thighs including myself. Nothing wrong here, just beauty & a talented woman performing with a beautiful body. The photographer might have had malicious intentions but who cares, what he thought would make him trend is what we find beauty in, so screw him.”
Others on Twitter are fuming as it seems very odd that Makhadzi has to apologise for the natural state of her body.
