Scoop Makhathini, Nasty C & Black Coffee Causing Chest Pains

A simple Tweet by the oldest gentleman in the picture (Right), is a man that needs no introduction, Black Coffee is the most successful artist in the country and the DJ is the second richest artist on the African continent. It seems he was having some fun and mentoring his youngins.

The youngest in the picture (Centre), Nasty C, a rapper and producer from Durban is arguably one of the most successful rappers Mzansi has to offer. He released his first mixtape, One Kid, a Thousand Coffins, before graduating from high school. Nasty C’s follow-up album, Strings and Bling, was equally successful. It was named one of the best hip-hop offerings of 2018.

The multi-platinum rapper, also known as the “Coolest Kid In Africa,” dropped his long-awaited album Zulu Man With Some Power album via Def Jam Recordings. The 20 track album follows the long-brewing buzz on Nasty C’s major mainstream crossover with fans around the globe anticipating its release.

The second oldest in the picture is none other than Scoop Makhathini (Left), the hip hop influencer who is known for being blunt and as a result has had many beefs with well-known rappers in the country. Scoop is known for his controversial remarks on his “Popcast” YouTube show, which he initially co-hosted with Ms Cosmo, DJ Vigilante, DJ Speedsta. The influencial hip hop figure has called out Ambtiouz Entertainment on numerous occassions, over their split from artists like Emtee, Fifi Cooper, A-Reece and most recently Sjava when his departure was still a rumour.

A few months back Scoop Makhathini, got into trouble for suggesting that AKA, Kwesta and Cassper should take a break from the music industry and chill from music for a year.

Kwesta had this to say about his comments…

“Scoop. The newer guys are fighting this fight and killing shit without anyone taking a so called break. Don’t shit on their grind just to be seen as a rep for their wave. They don’t need you to steal flowers for them. That’s stealing credit from them. Nobody moving bro. Its love,”

While AKA flat out rubbished his comments as rubbish…

“Scoop is my brother, my guy, but sometimes he can really talk nonsense.”

Cassper also added his sentiments and defended himself and his work, while also promoting his now released album Any Minute Now, where he actually calls out Scoop Makhathini on a verse on his track titled Thoughts.
