Yolanda Vilikazi Details Emotional Pregnancy Journey

Kwesta and his wife Yolanda are currently expecting their second child and in a lengthy Instagram post has shared details about her pregnancy journey so far.

The famous couple recently shared with the public that their family is expecting a new member with a beautiful photoshoot where Yolanda’s growing bump was shown off.

And then there were FOUR 🤰🏽… It’s been a while since I posted but yup, It’s official, our little family is growing. We’re expecting! As we celebrate a decade of love and being together, God chose us and trusted us with another beautiful blessing that is half of me & half of my love. We so excited and thankful for this miracle and can’t wait to meet our sweet baby in just 3months time! “From finding out just before lockdown and navigating the uncertainties and fear that came with the pandemic to my first ultrasound and the gynaecologist (not my actual gyne) telling me she can’t find a heartbeat & that I miscarried,” shared Yolanda.

As Yolanda prepares to enter to her third trimester she is sharing with her fans and followers just how emotional her journey has been filled with ups and downs, especially during a pandemic.

Yolanda after that visit to the gynaecologist had to go home to deliver the news “to an already excited husband & big sister to be” and “it was rougher than rough.”

In her post, she then goes on to detail how her first and second trimester was, with her first being completely different from when she was pregnant with her first daughter Khai.

About to enter my last trimester in a few days & wow it’s been an emotional journey of ups and downs: From finding out just before lockdown and navigating the uncertainties and fear that came with the pandemic to my first ultrasound and the gynecologist (not my actual gyne) telling me she can’t find a heartbeat & that I miscarried. Yup, that actually happened! The emotional trauma of driving myself home to deliver the news to an already excited husband & big sister to be. It was rougher than rough. The next few weeks were blood tests on blood tests only to find out that my baby was absolutely fine & her heartbeat was strong. Definitely went back to my original gynecologist & everytime I think of how far we’ve come since I’m so thankful that God pulled us through. Damn… we been through the trenches. First trimester was HORRIBLE! I had all of the symptoms, something I barely experienced with Khai. Bekunzima. Second trimester was an absolute breeze. I had so much energy and took on getting a nursery ready, it’s done now & I’m bored with nothing to do. As I creep towards the third trimester I’m feeling it 😂! Man down! Send help! Yoh Jehova! I just want to finish now 😓. Anyway… still I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world! It’s totally worth it & so fulfilling. God bless all the pregnant women & new moms who read this. We are strength & love personified…🤍

“First trimester was HORRIBLE! I had all of the symptoms, something I barely experienced with Khai. Bekunzima. Second trimester was an absolute breeze. I had so much energy and took on getting a nursery ready, it’s done now & I’m bored with nothing to do,” explains Yolanda.

As she enters her third trimester the mood has defiantly changed for Yolanda and she is feeling the pinch of pregnancy and ready for the journey to finish.

“Anyway… still I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world! It’s totally worth it & so fulfilling. God bless all the pregnant women & new moms who read this. We are strength & love personified,” she adds.

Pregnancy is a journey for both parents and Yolanda’s rapper husband also has shared how his life has done a full 360 from the time they expected their first child as he was financially struggling at the time.

Kwesta explained that once Khai was born, he was in such financial trouble, that his wife had to seek assistance from her aunt, to help fund his daughter’s first birthday party. The rapper also went on to share that his wife and daughter were his motivation to continue with music and create a stable life for his family

When @khai.vilakazi was born my world was a mess. It was 2012, I shot the Boomshakala video in Cape Town, days after her birth. A month later, we went on THT(The Hangover Tour) with Cashtime Fam… A real tour! Like, we didn’t go to shows on the weekend and come back during the week… We were GONE! That shit ended in Jan and I came back home having had a life changing experience and no money.. Khai’s first year was confusing AF. I had become a father and that made me happy but I was broke too. I barely scored a show and when I did, that had to pay people who contributed to DaKAR which I was piecing together with the gents. I remember @yonessalvv got money from her aunt or something just to be able to have a little celebration for her 1st birthday. I almost didn’t even show up.. The shame of not just being broke but being a broke Kwesta almost got the better of me. I vowed to never put Yo or Khai in a situation of dire need like that ever again… Still working on it but all that shit motivated me.. Yo motivated me.. Khai motivated me. This year we are expecting our second child and guess what… My world is a mess. The future is under threat and IM THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE, all at the same time(the new music will clarify) It’s not 2012 though. I will not place the burden of being motivated on Yo, Khai or Putsununu. I’m getting off the boot of this vintage masterpiece and I’m headed straight to Grindville.
